How does Nickel Institute collect and use personal data?

We collect personal data that allows us to contact you with information about our activities and operations that we believe to be relevant to you. Most of your data is provided to us by your active intervention such as emails, business cards or subscribing to our services.

The Nickel Institute also collects non-personal information each time a registered user logs into his or her account. The non-personal information the Nickel Institute collects includes logging the following registered user account details: browser and operating system information, the domain name of the website from which the registered user came, date and duration of visit, number of visits, average time spent on the website, and pages viewed. This non-personal information is used to optimize the website for registered users.

How do we ensure website privacy?

Like most other organisations, we may monitor traffic patterns, site usage and related site information. Our website server will automatically collect IP addresses, and we may use a browser feature called a "cookie" to optimize your visit to our website. You may set your browser to turn cookies off during your use of any website. We do not link your IP address or cookies to other personally identifiable information.

We also use the Google Analytics service to analyse anonymously website use and visitor numbers as part of a continual improvement process. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about our website’s use. The privacy policy of Google Analytics can be found here.
